and obtained distribution rights for XG Sciences’ products. The two companies also agreed to begin joint development of products for industries served by Hanwha or XG Sciences.

XG Sciences, Inc. has also finalized an agreement with Cabot Corporation to license certain XG Sci- ences intellectual property in 2011. Under the agreement, XG Sciences will provide Cabot with non-exclusive rights to XG Sciences’ low-cost pro- duction technology for the manufacture of Graphene Nanoplatelets. XG Sciences also agrees to sell Cabot certain of XG Sciences’ products on a long-term basis.

XG Sciences’ graphene nanoplatelets can be formu- lated into electrodes, inks, and pastes for fabrication of electrodes with high charge storage and superior current carrying characteristics for ultracapacitors, batteries, and fuel cells. XG Sciences Inc. is a leading supplier of xGnP®

require silent and backlash free operation. The Nanomotion ER series leverages the advantages of piezo motion technology but packaged in a tubular motor housing. The ER motor is a robust and high precision design with integrated drive and encoder. The Piezo Rotary Motor direct drive eliminates gears to deliver zero backlash perfor- mance. Power efficiency is maximized due to built in braking to hold position without power consumption.

The ER motor series has the best size, weight and power (SWaP) performance for shutter control and auto focus mechanisms for in-flight, head mounted or hand held devices. Closed loop ope- ration is supported by Nanomotion’s S775 XCD closed loop drive and control module, supplied as a PCBA or components for system integration.

“The Nanomotion ER Series operates without any magnetic disturbance to GPS, gyro or compass,” said Jim Dick, Johnson Electric’s senior vice presi- dent of Strategic Marketing. “Silent and low EMI devices are essential to prevent detection in the field,” he added.
