Creating the best Seafront and Promenade in the UK
Blackpool’s famous Promenade has undergone some major changes over the past few years and now looks stunning. The Tower Festival Headland juts out into the sea beneath Blackpool Tower and features the incredible Comedy Carpet, an art installation set into the headland, featuring hundreds of hilarious quotes and sketches from well known comedians. In addition, it can be used as an open air arena designed to host world class events. On June 16, Elton John will be the very first artist to perform on the Headland and this will be followed by the Olympic Torch Relay Event and Evening Celebration on June 22. McFly and The Wanted play on June 24 and the Blackpool Illuminations Switch On ceremony takes place on August 31.
The Tower Festival Headland also features a new state of the art building, Festival House, which is home to Blackpool’s Jubilee Tourist Information Centre. The fantastic new venue features state of the art video screens giving visitors to the resort a taster of everything Blackpool has to offer without leaving the building.
In addition to being the new home for the TIC, Festival House also accommodates Blackpool’s unique new wedding venue. The venue is an amazing new low-carbon wedding space with breathtaking and romantic views across the beach and sea.
Watch out for the fantastic series of events planned on the Tower Festival Headland for 2012.
