Community College Franklin accepts more community college credits than most institutions, allowing you to finish your bachelor’s degree faster. Franklin offers a 3+1 transfer program with a nationwide network of community colleges. You can save money by paying the lower community college tuition rate for up to three years. To make this possible, you complete your associate’s degree, take Franklin bachelor’s degree classes at your community college or online, then finish your fourth year at Franklin online or on campus.

Military Experience Franklin is designated one of America’s Top Military Friendly Colleges and Universities by Military Advanced Education magazine. We were also one of the first to be chosen by the U.S. Army to participate in the delivery of online education to enlisted soldiers. Whether you’re on active duty, reserve, or veteran status, your military experience and training may count toward college credit. Franklin is committed to offering you and your dependents flexible, convenient course formats to balance education with military life.

Previous Experience Franklin works to maximize prior learning credit by providing multiple options for transferring credit. If you’ve attended a career or technical school, Franklin will award up to 24 hours of technical credit toward one of our degree completion majors. You could also be awarded college credit for certifications and licensure. In addition, the Portfolio Credit Program is a way to earn credit for college-level learning. Through a specially structured project, a student can demonstrate quality of learning in a specific subject and request credit for a related Franklin University course. Course credit may also be earned through various testing options conveniently available through the University’s Student Learning Center.
