Lillian Shelton


(Severna Park, MD) has been the only field hockey coach that Severna Park High School has ever had. After the fall season and nearly four decades of devotion to the program and the sport, Shelton announced her retirement. Shelton holds the record for the most number of state titles won in any sport in MD and the most number of state titles in the country.


Amy Hassick


(Marshfield, MA) was first a player and then a coach before choosing to be outfitted in stripes. Hassick has focused all of her energy on becoming one of the best umpires in the world. Her efforts paid off a few months ago when she received an email requesting her presence on the pitch at the London 2012 Olympic Games.


Beth Anders


(Norfolk, VA) announced her retirement after 29 seasons at the helm of the Old Dominion University field hockey program. Anders career includes 27 NCAA tournament appearances and 546 wins, the most of any coach in the sport in NCAA history. However, days after the announcement, Anders states that she will return for one more year of coaching, and step down following the conclusion of the 2012 season and three decades of dedication and success.


Missy Meharg


(College Park, MD) was announced the Division I Coach of the Year by the NFHCA for an unprecedented ninth time. Meharg will enter her 25th season with the Terps in 2012 and has led Maryland to 8 NCAA National Championship titles.

(Boston, MA) was the leading scorer in her senior season with the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins, helping D-Y to a 15-3-2 record. She adds captain, third year varsity letter, Best of 60 All-Star, ACL All-Star, Boston Globe All-Scholastic and Best Offensive Player to her already impressive resume.


Ali Good


(Chatham, NJ) In seven seasons, has helped build a tiny private school in Summit, NJ into a national powerhouse for field hockey. Not only is Good lead- ing her teams to undefeated seasons, she is producing field hockey superstars. Good is the former coach of Michelle Cesan, National Team member and 2012 London Olympic hopeful.
