St. Olaves Priory Remains of an Augustinian priory, founded nearly 200 years after the death in 1020 of St. Olave, the patron saint of Norway. Location: 6 miles S.W. of Great Yarmouth on the A143 Beccles Road. Open: Every day at any reasonable time.


Berney Arms Windmill


Late 19th century 7 storey marsh windmill. Location: Halvergate Marshes, 3 miles west of Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QH. Not accessible by road, reached by footpath from Halvergate or by hire boat. By rail from Great Yarmouth (daily service but request only on Sunday). Tel: 01493 857900 for opening times and dates.
