What is USA Triathlon? Founded in 1982, USA Triathlon is proud to serve as the Nati onal Governing Body for triathlon—the fastest growing sport in the U.S. Olympic Movement—as well as duathlon, aquathlon, aquabike, off -roadtriathlon, winter triathlon and paratriathlon in the United States. USA Triathlon sancti ons 3,500 races and connects with more than 150,000 members each year, making it the largest multi sport organizati on in the world. In additi on to its work with athletes, coaches and race directors on the grassroots level, USA Triathlon provides leadership and support to elite athletes competi ng at internati onal events, including Internati onal Triathlon Union (ITU) World Championships, Pan American Games and the Summer Olympic Games. USA Triathlon is a proud member of the ITU and the United States Olympic Committ ee (USOC).


What is event Services? Event Services is the race director business-focused resource team of USA Triathlon. Compiling best practi ces and eff ecti ve event organizati on tools and techniques, the team is here for you. The department provides race directors with informati on on everything to help you start and grow your events. The Event Services team develops benefi cial and quality programs to educate and provide race directors with the resources necessary to ensure events are top-quality in the multi sport industry.
