New darling of the Croatian circuit, Hideout Festival, announces first wave of acts for 2012…


SINCE invading an unsuspecting venue on the beautiful beach of Zrce, Pag, for a weekend of nonsense in July for the fi rst time earlier this year, Hideout Festival decided the only way is up for an event welcomed with open arms by clubbers with an ear for a beat worldwide. Why? Apart from giving 7,000 or so discerning ravers an opportunity to get wonky with their mates in the blazing sun, on the beach, or on a boat, its diverse spread of dancefl oor acts won hearts from the off, while next year it’s destined to set another precedent, picking bigger and better acts, and spreading across more


stages and venues to entice 10,000 to the beautiful Island of Pag.


So far, Ricardo Villalobos, Skream, Annie Mac, Jamie Jones and Skrillex top the bill, alongside d&b honcho Andy C, Dirtybird headman Claude Vonstroke and Crosstown Rebel’s boss Damian Lazarus. Spreading the net even further, Erol Alkan will add some tech-heavy electro into the mix, Soul Clap will inject some deep disco grooves while Prins Thomas will take things to the upper reaches of the cosmos And that’s just for starters…
