MEMBER BENEFITS YOU’RE WORTH IT!

You are not alone. Companies in the industry have banded together to form an influential and supportive federation to look out for your interests

IPAF membership: a key to services that give value for money The International Powered Access Federation is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members, who include manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and end-users of equipment. Members become part of an industry focused on safety and best practice, and benefit from a wide range of services. Being a member of IPAF is about

supporting an association that promotes the safe and effective use of powered access. Your IPAF membership number and company name are your key to many benefits that will save time and money, some of which are highlighted below.

Tax refunds for PAL Card holders Rift, which specialises in tax refunds for UK construction workers, is making good on its pledge to bring financial benefits to IPAF PAL Card holders in these challenging times. Rift has teamed up with IPAF members, including Lavendon Access Services, to share the benefits of this incentive scheme. “I first heard about Rift at an IPAF training

course run by Lavendon,” says Andrew James, from Swansea. “My instructor explained that

Rift helped construction workers claim tax refunds – I didn’t even know you could do that. All I had to do was complete an easy form with my contact and employment details and they would do the rest. “The next thing I knew, a really helpful

person from Rift called and guided me through every step of the claim. I received £1,745 and would recommend Rift to anyone. Thank you, IPAF, for making this service available to PAL Card holders.”

Inspired rentals InspHire is a simple-to-use hire software package, tailored to meet the specific needs of the powered access rental market. IPAF members get a discount on the system and users include GT Access, Aerial Platforms, Facelift, Rapid Platforms, AFI-Uplift and Higher Access. “InspHire met all our requirements. We

chose it because we felt it was the best offering around,” says Paul Hyde, director at Higher Access. “InspHire allows us to have an immediate handle on what is happening within the business in an easy-to-access format and it has had a very positive effect on our business. We are in a much better position

Andrew James, who reclaimed

tax thanks to Rift and IPAF

to know what equipment we have available for hire, where it is, what state of readiness it’s in and how the machines are being utilised. “We are now ready to implement inspHire

Mobile Working. This will give us the ability to work on site by being able to send over GSM real-time updates and reduce the volume of paper documents taken to site. It will also allow us to update our fitters and drivers immediately by sending these straight to their PDAs, ready to be signed off on site.”

Smart CRM solutions Ever wondered how your company could work from one central database that unites functions such as accounts, production, sales and marketing? SuperOffice is giving a significant discount off its customer relationship management (CRM) software that does exactly that. A 10-user system, including specific

configuration for rental businesses, costs £6,864 to IPAF members (usual price £10,158). The offer is currently available in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Asia, Australasia and Africa. SuperOffice is available internationally in 15 languages and is used by IPAF staff.

Discounted courier deliveries Do you use a courier service to send parcels or documents around the UK or internationally? Do you struggle to get cost-effective pricing because the volume of items is low? IPAF members in the UK can now tie in

to the introductory 50 per cent discount rate offered to IPAF by courier company TNT. This rate is guaranteed for six months, after which the rate will depend on the volume of deliveries made by IPAF and its members. The more members that use the service, the better the chance that all will continue to benefit from the 50 per cent discount. n
