three of his landmark outfits. We caught up with Glenn and he gave us a little tidbit about how this whole thing came to be. “My manager came to me and said the director from METALOCALYPSE had this idea for a TV special. He said you should do your whole career as a take-off on the old “Elvis ‘68 Comeback Special.” thought it sounded OK. I’m a big Elvis fan and that special revitalized Elvis’ whole career. He said it should be like an “anti- comeback special” and it should have some of the guys from SAMHAIN and have Doyle (from THE MISFITS) come on and do different segments, kind of like how the Elvis special came on. So we started putting together the special (we even tried to get the same sound-stage they used, but it was booked). So then the promoter of RIOT FEST heard about what we were doing and the DANZIG LEGACY show came about. So I guess we’ll start off with a DANZIG set, then we’ll do a SAMHAIN set. I’ll use Steve as my bass player, he was in SAMHAIN, and I’ll have London on drums, and maybe Tommy on guitar.
I It’s
really just a retrospective of all this stuff, so then we’ll have Doyle come out and we’ll do a bunch of MISFITS songs. We’ll end with a couple of Danzig tracks and I think people will go away really happy.”

Remember when the Rolling Stones got back together and started selling out every arena on the planet? How about when Bobby Ewing showed up in the shower after having been killed and told the entire entertainment world, “Good morning.” This is that big.
F
or those of us raised on rock and horror movies one name has remained a thing to be revered, a constant, a legend: Glenn Danzig. His original band THE MISFITS is one of the most influential bands of all time. Just ask any band that features a guitar with even mild distortion on it and somewhere in their past you’ll find THE MISFITS.
Their break-up has been one of the most oft-lamented in all of music history. For many of us who were too young to have seen the band in its heyday, or just missed the opportunity for whatever reason, fortune smiles upon us. It has been announced that Glenn will re-team with members of his original bands to perform classics from all
