YOU’LL NEVER LOOK AT SNOW THE SAME WAY AGAIN
What words do you use to describe snow? Wet, slushy, icy and cold? How about soft, sparkling, feathery, refreshing and fun!?!
Snowfl akes are complex and unique structures. Formed through the freezing of cloud droplets, they emerge into intricate shapes of variable sizes as they travel through a variety of temperature and humidity zones. Utah is geographically positioned to receive The Greatest Snow on Earth®. Only the very best snowfl akes are allowed to cross our borders and every fl ake, which lands at our 14 resorts is here for one sole purpose - to create the most fabulous ski and snowboard conditions on the planet.
In Utah, it’s not “how much” snow that’s important, it’s “how often” it falls that makes the difference. Home of the Monster Dump, Utah is famous for 12-inch plus storms blanketing resorts in immaculate powder throughout the season. These wonderful winter storms add up to an annual average of 500 inches per year. Utah has consistently exceeded expectations eight of the last ten winters. For example, the state received over 780 inches of snow during the 202-day 2010-11 season. This unmatched consistent abundance absolutely guarantees glorious conditions during your stay.
In our business, however, economies of scale aren’t everything. Utah snow is also notorious for its superior quality. Clouds gather moisture travelling east over the Pacifi c Ocean and dry while crossing the Nevada desert west of Utah’s mountain ranges. The snow then proceeds to fall in a “right-side up” pattern alleviating more dense fl akes at the beginning of storm cycles before circling back over the Great Salt Lake. The second round of lake effect snow tops off conditions in a layer of fresh fl uff resulting in the most buoyant carefree ski experience imaginable.
A unique blend of quality, quantity and consistency makes riding Utah snow so effortless that your worries will be left behind.
While it’s true Utah is famous for legendary powder skiing, the wide variety of terrain and conditions offered at Utah resorts provide the perfect slope for every ability level. From meticulously manicured groomers to bouncy bumps, perfect powder and power packed pipes; no matter how you carve it, Utah still serves The Greatest Snow on Earth®.
An unparalleled blend of abundance and consistency is what keeps corduroy cruisers and powderhounds alike craving Utah’s premium powder product. Come take a turn for yourself. We promise you’ll never look at snow the same way again.
