Creating the best Seafront and Promenade in the UK


Blackpool's Promenade has undergone a transformation over the past four years and Blackpool Council is now geared up for the final push to transform the seafront forever. The final phase of the work will see the new sea defences completed, a new tramway laid, an iconic wedding chapel created, an outdoor events arena for 20,000, must see public art and new pedestrian access to the Promenade.


Work is still underway on the promenade, with current developments on St Chads and Waterloo Headlands, Tower Festival Headland and Festival House incorporating the Tourism Information Centre and Registry Office, these works are set to be complete towards the end of 2011.
