INTRODUCING VISION HOUSE®LA 2012
The Future Starts Now
Sited on an urban lot in a mature residential neighborhood, the VISION House® LA design will accentuate the sloping terrain, rather than struggle against it. The result: a sense of reflected movement between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Picture a modern, super-efficient California home, bright and relaxing, with a hint of Asian elegance and serenity.

Now imagine this structure, carefully sited on a a sloping infill lot in the Pacific Palisades, offering a tantalizing glimpse of Santa Monica Bay.

Complete the scene with an established neighborhood, a new home with such a strong sense of place that it settles perfectly into the local pattern language.

In case you haven’t guessed, what you’re imagining will soon become reality. This year’s VISION House® LA 2012 is just getting underway. The plans are drawn, sponsors and partners are joining the team, and ground breaking will have begun by the time you read this.

VHLA blends old and new concepts of West Coast vernacular lifestyle with state of the art technology and products.

As a synthesis of the very latest research, field experience and eco-ethics in sustainable design, building practices, marketing and land management, this unique home is certain to become a national showcase for cutting-edge systems and green products.

The newest project in the VISION House® series, VHLA marks a collaboration between Green Builder Media and Structure Home. It’s the manifestation of a shared commitment to sustainable living, from both design and building science perspectives.

In other words, the home pays close attention to how people live in this region, at the same time aiming to maximize resource efficiency in all aspects of design, execution and operation.

The goal: to redefine value in modern American homeownership.

Structure Home principals Robert Kleiman and Mark Sapiro, come to the table with a dedicated team of design professionals, project managers, construction specialists and support personnel.
