focal lengths above are from a on a DSLR with an APS-C sensor. etimes focal lengths are quoted aditional 35mm film SLR terms. to the smaller sizes of the ors on most digital cameras, a ulation is needed to convert the


lens values to these standard focal lengths. This will vary between 1.5x and 2x depending on your camera, and means a lens with an 18-55mm focal range on a camera with a 1.5x magnification will actually give you a 27-82.5mm range in 35mm terms.
