Hot Springs Circle Tour What better way to experience the British Columbia Kootenay Rockies Region than from the relaxing vantage point of an all- natural hot spring pool? Around the world, hot mineral springs are considered to have magical healing qualities. Visit Radium Hot Springs, Fairmont Hot Springs, Ainsworth Hot Springs, Canyon Hot Springs, Halcyon Hot Springs, Nakusp Hot Springs and Lussier Hot Springs.


Along the Hot Springs Circle Tour route the traveller can experience the heritage and culture of the Kootenay Rockies in places such as Fort Steele, Kimberley, Nelson, Nakusp, New Denver and the ghost town of Sandon. There are spectacular views, woodland walks, hanging glaciers, hidden hot springs, sparkling lakes and outstanding resorts.


The Hot Springs Circle Tour is approximately 1,100 km (640 mi) and usually takes between five and seven days.


Natural Wonders Yoho National Park in the east of the British Columbia Rockies is sprinkled with waterfalls and glacial lakes. You will feel awe as you gaze up at Takakkaw Falls or at a dozen snowy peaks as you paddle Emerald Lake. Just west of Yoho National Park is Golden, a gateway to vast wilderness where naturalists converge on a vantage point for wildlife viewing and bird- watching. Explore Glacier and Mount Revelstoke National Parks and take in a tour of the mighty Revelstoke or Mica dams. The Kootenay Rockies is home to many natural hot springs. Relax in these therapeutic waters while enjoying the mountain scenery.


Outdoor Adventure Fishing abounds in the Kootenay Rockies. Fish for rainbow, brook, lake and cutthroat trout, some of the six million born and raised each year at the Kootenay Trout Hatchery. Numerous lakes, rivers and streams support healthy populations of largemouth bass, kokanee and whitefish. Golfers can choose from over 17 championship 18-hole golf courses and numerous unique and challenging nine-hole courses. Hiking is also popular with Kokanee Glacier and Valhalla Provincial Parks providing spectacular mountain scenery, alpine meadows, glaciers and miles of superb trail systems.
