Use small DV/HDV cameras with HDMI output that are available for live production and convert their output to SD-SDI or HD-SDI. This enables signals from DV or HDV cameras to be used with SDI switchers. In cable runs of 100-200 feet there is a cost advantage in using a long SDI or HD-SDI cable, rather than a long HDMI cable. Self-adhesive straps make it easy to attach to a tripod leg.
