Kokatat Gore-tex Meridian
The not-so-imaginatively named GME, GMER and GMED models are variations on Kokatat’s Gore-tex Meridian suit theme. We reviewed the GMER with built-in booties and a male relief zipper, but the same suit with a drop seat for females is available, as is the same suit with neither feature nor booties. Indecisive types beware, the choices don’t end there. Kokatat’s variations are available in unisex or women’s cuts, with options that include a hood, a tunnel, reflective tape, a sleeve pocket and a thigh pocket. We’re not done yet; you get to choose between cobalt and mango colours to best express yourself and can even opt for all of the above in a suit made from Torpos, a breathable material less expensive (and a little less breathable) than Gore- tex.
GME (no socks or relief hatch) $739 US GMER (with booties and relief zipper for men) $910 US GMED (with booties and drop seat for women) $979 US
