A 20-year veteran of the leisure and travel industry, Simon Vincent is President Europe for Hilton Worldwide. Based in London, Simon is responsible for more than 200 hotels across seven brands with 25,000 employees in 30 European countries.
Hilton Worldwide’s aggressive expansion policy has already resulted in 22 hotel openings across Europe in 2010, and there are 90 hotels in the pipeline, which will open between now and the end of 2013.
RADIOHEAD JUST
I could have chosen any number of Radiohead tracks – I just love the range and intensity of their music. This is my son Freddie’s favourite Radiohead track and it is often played at full volume on my iPod whilst out jogging.
PINK FLOYD WISH YOU WERE HERE
The title track from one of my favourite albums – very atmospheric and great to listen to, even after all these years. It reminds me of my time straight after University when I spent six months teaching windsurfing and sailing in Spetses.
BOB DYLAN KNOCKING ON HEAVENS DOOR I hated Bob Dylan in my youth and if you had asked me to do this 20 years ago, his selection would have been unthinkable as would the exclusion of something by Joy Division. But I guess I am going to be on the Island for a long time and having come to appreciate the genius of his music I needed to include one of his classics.
LEONARD COHEN SUZANNE
Sombre, doleful and mysterious – Leonard Cohen at his best and a truly great songwriter and lyricist.

MOZART MARRIAGE OF FIGARO OVERTURE
I had to have something classical for those long drawn our evenings on the island – this is as good as it gets for me.
GORILLAZ FEELGOOD INC Love the Gorillaz. Very inventive, great beat and something to lift the spirits.
STEREOPHONICS MAYBE TOMORROW
It was either this or Superman, another favourite track of mine
HERB ALPERT AND THE TIJUANA BRASS THIS GUY’S IN LOVE WITH YOU A 1970s classic. My late father loved Herb Alpert and it reminds me of Saturday nights at home in my early teens.
BOOK
THE PRIVATE EYE BACK CATALOGUE I am an avid reader and just love their irreverent approach to politics, the establishment and the cutting humour.
LUXURY ITEM
