Men’s Basketball Record: 25-2 (12-1 ACC)
l The Blue Devils picked up two more wins last week, defeating Virginia and Georgia Tech, and returned to the top of both the AP and Coaches Polls. l Senior Nolan Smith scored 22 points to lead Duke over Virginia, 56-41, last Wednesday. He is the 14th player at Duke to make at least 150 three pointers. l Sophomore Ryan Kelly posted his sixth career double figure scoring game with 11 points and matched a career high with four blocked shots. He now has 41 blocked shots this season with seven games of three or more. l The Blue Devils held the Cavaliers to a 28.6 field goal percentage, the lowest field goal percentage by a Duke opponent this season and lowest since Gonzaga shot 27.8 last year. l The 41 points allowed were also the fewest this season and lowest since last season when Gonzaga only scored 41 against the Blue Devils. It was the lowest by an ACC opponent since 2007 when Duke held Wake Forest to 40 points. l On Sunday, the Blue Devils returned home to defeat Georgia Tech, 79-57. l Smith led Duke with 28 points, notching his ACC-leading 16th game with 20 or more points. He has scored 20 or more in nine of Duke’s 13 ACC games and in 33 career games. l Sophomore Mason Plumlee had nine points and nine rebounds for the second straight game. He is averaging 6.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in ACC play this season. l Senior Kyle Singler added 15 and Kelly had 10 for the Blue Devils, who won their sixth in a row.
Men’s Tennis Men’s Record: 9-3 (0-0 ACC)
l The Blue Devils competed over the weekend in the ITA National Team Indoors from Seattle, Wash., cruising to victories over second-ranked Southern California and eleventh-ranked Florida before falling to third-ranked Tennessee in the semifinals.

Women’s Tennis Women’s Record: 8-2 (0-0 ACC)
l The Blue Devils competed over the weekend in the ITA National Team Indoors from Charlottesville, Va., cruising to victories over eleventh-ranked Tennessee and twenty-third- ranked Virginia before falling to second-ranked Florida in the semifinals. l Duke defeated the Volunteers in the opening round, 4-1. l Picking up wins for the Blue Devils were Ellah Nze, Elizabeth Plotkin, Rachel Kahan and Mary Clayton. l The Blue Devils took care of the business in the quarterfinals, defeating Virginia, 4-2. l Kahan picked up the first point for Duke from the number five position in straight set decision 6-0, 6-1. Kahan remains a perfect 8-0 in singles.
l Duke opened the National Team Indoors with a 4-3 victory over USC. Senior Reid Carleton fought off match point in a comeback victory that the Blue Devils knock off the two- time defending national champions. l In the quarterfinals on Saturday, the Blue Devils cruised to a 4-1 victory over Florida. l David Holland and Chris Mengel earned their 10th win of the year as a duo. They defeated Florida’s Billy Federhofer and Bob van Overbeek, 8-4. l No. 9 Carleton and Henrique Cunha claimed an 8-5 win over No. 15 Alex Lacroix and Nassim Slilam. The two Blue Devils are now 9-1 in dual matches, 7-2 against ranked opponents and 21-3 overall. l Duke fell in the semifinals on Sunday, 4-2, at the hands of Tennessee. The two teams met eight days ago in Durham with the Volunteers claiming a 7-0 victory in a tightly contested match. l Cunha earned a victory over Rhyne Williams of Tennessee, the nation’s top-ranked player, 6-4, 6-2. l Carleton also was able to pick up a point for the Blue Devils by defeating John-Patrick Smith, 6-3, 6-3. l The Blue Devils return home for a match against Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1 p.m.
l Clayton was next off the courts to give Duke the 2-1 advantage with four matches remaining. Clayton put the Blue Devils ahead with a straight set win at the number six spot 6-2, 6-1, over Caryssa Pertz. l Senior Reka Zsilinszka allowed Duke to inch closer to the semifinals after she battled back from being down 3-1 in the first set to claim another straight set victory over Tomljanovic, 6-3, 6-2. Plotkin notched the final point for the win over Virginia. l Duke fell to Florida on Sunday in the semifinals 4-1. l Plotkin picked up the Blue Devils’ lone point in the match defeating Sofie Oyen. 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. l The Blue Devils will next take on Wake Forest to open ACC play on Wednesday, March 2 in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
Baseball Record: 3-1 (0-0 ACC)
l The Blue Devils opened the 2011 season over the weekend, taking two of three from the Richmond Spiders from Jack Coombs Field and then added another victory Tuesday afternoon by defeating the Campbell Camels. l Senior Dennis O’Grady was named ACC Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career

after leading Duke to a 7-0 win over Richmond on Sunday, Feb. 20, with seven shutout innings. O’Grady struck out a career-high 10 batters in his first start of the season while holding the Spiders to just five hits and two walks. l Freshman Chris Marconcini drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a two-out, two- strike single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead the Blue Devils past Richmond 6-5 on opening day. l The Blue Devils dropped Saturday’s contest 9-8. l Freshman Drew Van Orden picked up his second win in his first career start with six innings of three-hit baseball as Duke downed Campbell, 9-2, on Tuesday afternoon. l The Blue Devils scored their nine runs on just six hits. l O’Grady drove in two runs and crossed the plate twice in Duke’s win over Campbell. l The Blue Devils will face N.C. Central on the road at historic Durham Athletic Park on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 3:00 p.m.
