Working closely with the bishops and others you will have the passion, vision and energy necessary to facilitate and support the effective engagement of the Church in the life of and issues facing organisations and communities across Wales. This is a unique opportunity to help position and shape that engagement to the benefit of people who live and work in Wales.


You will have a strong vision of the theology of church and society and will be expected to relate to and work with representatives of the Welsh Assembly Government, and significant parts of the public, private and third sectors in Wales to ensure that this vision is translated into good ideas and practical and meaningful achievements.


You will: -


 Have the skills to engage with a range of organisations in ways that are both innovative and practical.


 Have the energy and sensitivity to develop and maintain the Church’s relationship with a range of organisations, networks and partnerships.

The Trustees of St Edward’s School wish to appoint a Head Teacher for the Junior School following the appointment of the current post holder to the Headship of Marlborough College Preparatory School Malaysia. St. Edward’s School was formed in 1987 by the amalgamation of two local Catholic independent schools and is made up of a Senior School and a Junior School on separate sites within the Cheltenham area. The Junior School provides a stimulating and caring environment for children of all denominations and prides itself on its high levels of academic and sporting achievements.


Applications are invited from qualifi ed teachers who can demonstrate energy, and enthusiasm in a current senior management role. The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the School. Accommodation will be available on the Junior School site.
