This exciting opportunity to work in a senior leadership role in Catholic education arises as a result of the retirement of the current Director. It offers a unique and stimulating role for a practising Catholic with a successful record of leadership in education and an understanding of the vital contribution of Catholic schools and colleges to the mission of the Church.


The Director of Education will provide leadership, vision and strategic direction to the Commission for Schools and Colleges, the team responsible for the implementation of Diocesan education policy and strategy. The Director also ensures that the Archbishop’s statutory and canonical rights and responsibilities are fulfi lled.


The successful candidate will lead the promotion of the Diocese’s educational mission and communion through its Catholic schools and colleges and support them in the provision of the highest quality of education and formation.


The salary and pension benefi ts payable will equate to the headteachers pay range and will not be less than L24 - L39.
