THE GlobalScot spotlight will turn on the Middle East next month, when Dubai hosts the first Connect event of 2011. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel will host the gathering, which will have as its theme The Middle East – Still a Land of Promise. The area has been a target market for a
lot of Scottish companies in recent years, and many of those that have enjoyed success have benefited from the advice of GlobalScots based in the region. And despite the economic downturn, the Middle East is very much still open for business – there are still great opportunities for Scottish companies in this market. The Connect event will bring
together Scottish companies, GlobalScots and other invited local contacts and potential investors from the region. The aim will be to: l Highlight the continued opportunities that exist in the Middle East market for Scottish companies; l Raise aspirations and ambitions of Scottish businesses to think/compete and trade globally; l Promote Scotland’s inward investment opportunities to Middle East contacts. Invites will be extended to all Middle
