Great news from SI Headquarters! After much intense work, the Board of Soroptimist International has approved the SI Strategic Plan. The debating is over, the goals for the future are agreed, the objectives are set, the way ahead is clear!

This Strategic Plan is the cornerstone of your work, it gives form, guidance and encouragement to every project or initiative; it is a great achievement and will be immensely useful to members across the globe.

And what work is being done! I am constantly amazed by the vision, the effort and the achievement of Soroptimists – you never stop do you? This issue looks at the work you have been doing in matters of Education and Leadership, helping today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders. How inspiring and invigorating it is to hear about women

working so hard, with such generosity, mentoring, guiding, teaching and crucially, funding those who haven’t had some of the privileges that others take for granted. The work of SI should be promoted by

preparing for the Christmas season and a New Year, I wish you all a very happy time and a successful and peaceful New Year.
