LAYO & BUSHWACKA! are practically UK club royalty with the tech-house sound that they pioneered now pretty much standard for credible DJs the world over. Unsurprisingly then, Richie Hawtin has snapped up their ‘Endangered’ EP for his own Plus 8 records. Three tracks of wonky, destabilised late night tech, it’s minimal imbued with the kind of late-night funk Layo & Bushwacka! honed through years of playing at The End.


While their old home is long gone, you can catch them for the final 2010 edition of Shake It!, their current party, on Saturday 4th December at the superb Village Underground, Shoreditch’s latest, and possibly greatest, warehouse space, whose offices are in an old tube train on the roof.
