a WARM WELCOME – BARBADOS
BARBADOS IS politically stable, has a high standard of living, low crime and a resilient economy. With an excellent infrastructure, reliable road and telecommunications network and international air and sea ports, trade with overseas countries is expected, and foreign direct investment is both welcomed and valued. Barbadian business people appreciate dealing with their British counterparts.
Opportunities lie in education and professional training, construction, energy, ICT, tourism, food and drink, security, healthcare, agriculture and the emerging environment sector. Pursuit of aid-funded business opportunities is also encouraged, particularly through the Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank.
UK trade delegations regularly visit Barbados and UK Trade and Investment’s London Region is scheduled to visit on 21-25 May 2011.
