the borough’s schools, colleges and young people, the partnership aims to raise young people’s achievements and aspirations, develop their motivation and skills for the world of work, and increase their ability to choose and achieve positive career, life and learning goals. Inspire! has played a key role in the

delivery of 14 to 19 Diplomas in Hackney. For example, it led on writing the bid to the then Department for Children, Schools and Families for delivery of the Society, Health and Development Diploma, and as a result, Hackney received Category 1 status – unconditional approval – to deliver this Diploma. In addition, the foundation was instrumental in a number of other Diploma bids, leading on development of employer engagement in relevant sector areas. T ree Diplomas are currently being

delivered in Hackney: • Society Health and Development • Construction and the Built Environment • Creative and Media T ere is a Learning Line Lead in place for

each Diploma. Inspire!’s programme manager for vocational and applied learning works closely with the Leads to plan a programme of employer-led activities over the academic year.
