Ministry of sound ‘The Underground 2010 – Techno’ (Ministry of Sound)
Following on from their ‘Underground Ibiza’ comp, Ministry have come up with the goods again, this time turning their gaze to ze world ov tekno. Boiling down one of the world’s most influential forms of dance music to two CDs is again, quite a challenge, but what they’ve come up with is a trip back over the biggest tunes of the last few years, plus some timeless classics. So you’ll find LFO Vs FUSE, Carl Craig and Robert Armani alongside Audion’s ‘Mouth 2 Mouth’ and Loco Dice’s recent smash ‘Definition’, making the selection as strong and solid as a 909 kick.
We have five copies of the album to give away. Simply e-mail your name and address to

PEZZNER DJWEEKLY PODCAST#4
It was only in 2008 that Dave Pezzner stepped out of production duo Jacob London, best known for their odd-ball cut-up house on Classic Records, to pursue a solo career but it’s been a rapid rise to fame. After dropping his debut EP for Jimpster’s Freerange Records, he had the likes of Shaboom and Ghostly International queuing up for remixes before this
year’s debut album, ‘The Tracks Are Alive’, a collection of lush, organic house. Listening to his podcast, which takes in everyone from Moodymann and Daniel Wang, to Deniz Kurtel and Solid Groove, it’s obvious that his DJ skills are also every bit as good as his production prowess. Deep, jacking house at its best.
