VENUE: INNER TEMPLE

Would rain stop play at the Executive PA Magazine’s reader event at Inner Temple? At 4pm the staff at Searcys Inner Temple

offices were more than crestfallen when the skies in London opened. With giant outdoor versions of chess, draughts, connect 4 and Jenga already set up, how many PAs would brave the rain and turn up to the event in the marquee set up in the grounds of the Temple’s garden? Luckily, around 4.45pm the rain stopped and by 5.45pm the sun put in a welcome appearance. And despite the gloomy start we had plenty of

PAs turn up to our reader event on 14 July who all enjoyed the garden party and exploring the Inner Temple’s venue space. PAs who worked up an appetite while pitting themselves against fellow PAs in the outdoor games were greeted with a number of food stations to sample. The chocolate fountain, complete with bowls of marshmallows, strawberries and fudge, was a big hit, while those who wanted a savoury option could enjoy the cheese table complete with French bread, bis- cuits and salads. There was also a wok cooking station set up in the garden providing delicious Asian fusion stir fries and an ice cream trolley dishing out tubs of ice creams.

(June/July) we invited readers

to experience a wealth of venues as ideal for meetings, private dinners, conferences and

“The Inner Temple Gardens is such a beauti- ful and unusual place to have a party” comment- ed Mayi Macalou from PhotoBox. “On one hand you have the beautiful gardens with views of the Thames, on the other hand pretty Georgian- style rooms. The atmosphere was great – the events team greeted and looked after us very well. I will definitely recommend the venue as it’s one of my favourite for summer parties!” All of this was complemented with live music, a welcome from Patrick Maddams, CEO of the Inner Temple, tours of the interior meeting spaces and great company. “I was delighted to be able to view the venue in such a relaxed, informal way and to meet so many of the Inner Temple’s Events Team” praised Theresa Mabbutt. “Henrietta showed us

around the main building and I was amazed at the versatility of the space. I shall most cer- tainly add Inner Temple to my preferred venue and will also recommend it to colleagues for future high profile events. Everyone looked after us in such a professional, courteous way and we were all made to feel very welcome.” It wasn’t only our readers who hailed the

evening a success – staff at the venue were also delighted with the chance to show off their wonderful venue and receive so many compli- ments. “We have had lots of positive feedback” said Sarah Horwood, Interim Sales & Marketing Manager, “a few new enquiries and a confirmed booking from the event already – which is great!” Further information: www.innertemple.org.uk
