publisher’s note
I can count hundreds of reasons to be thankful, but on top of the list are good health and living in the Carolinas. I have the good fortune to live in the
A
Carolinas, to be in good health and to be able to listen to some Eric Clapton or Jimmy Buffett while peddling my bike on a Carolina beach, watching the ocean waves come ashore. Man, this is the life! Most of the time my weekend activities are based around low tide, because catching some rays, listening to some tunes and riding my beach bike is my drug of choice. I love the Carolinas, from our beaches to our mountaintops. Tink about it: Why wouldn’t everyone want to live in the Carolinas?
Maybe I shouldn’t say it too loud, but just ask anyone from Asheville, North Carolina, to the Carolina coast, and they will indeed tell you that we have the best of both worlds. In this issue of Carolina Homes & Interiors, we invite you to take a stroll with us around the Carolinas. Tis edition focuses on custom and production builders and the neighborhoods they hope you someday will call home. In addition, you will be able to tour luxury homes from Merritt Island, Florida, to Charleston to Grande Dunes at Myrtle Beach to Wilmington, North Carolina. We invite you to visit
www.CharlestonMillionDollarHomes.com or
www.MyrtleBeachMillionDollarHomes.com for more information on luxury homes for sale in the Carolinas. Our tour will introduce you to many of the quaint towns scattered like gems along the Carolina landscape: Southport, Leland, Walterboro and Isle of Palms. Continue your tour online and visit
www.RetiringToNC.com or www.
RetiringToSC.com. For our northeast neighbors, Carolina Homes & Interiors will be on Long
Island for the Southeast Real Estate Expo on Nov. 6 and Nov. 7. Look for us at the Hofstra University Expo Center. In closing: Welcome to the Carolinas. Live healthy and maybe I’ll see you one day soon enjoying some rays, some tunes and the view while riding my bike on a Carolina beach. And if you would like to save some trees or tell a friend or family member about our magazines, visit
www.PointClickRead.com. Enjoy.

as I write, I am sitting on a Carolina beach, peering up to blue skies and out to open seas, and can’t help feeling thankful.
