Chris Dent joined the TT Club Sydney office in April 2010 as an Underwriter, having worked for ACC (New Zealand government run insurance scheme) in Auckland. This is a return to Thomas Miller for Chris who previously spent 12 years in the London office working for the TT Club and before that, the UK P&I Club.
When not at work, Chris enjoys most sports, still managing to chase a football around once a week and is looking forward to exploringmore of Australia.

A.M. Best confirms that TTClub’s financial strength rating is A– (Excellent)
Leading US rating agency A.M. Best has againconfirmedmutual insurer TTClub’s fi- nancial strength rating asA- (Excellent), as well as the issuer credit rating of ‘a-‘. The agency said that the outlook for TT Club over the next year is ‘stable’.
Geraldine Savin has had almost two years experience as a Claims Handler at the Cargo Claim agencyW.K.Webster in the UK. She joined the TTClub London office inMarch 2010 as aClaims Executive. After practising Law in Paris as an Avocat, she obtained an LLMin InternationalMaritime and Transport Law from the LondonMetropolitan University, in September 2009.
Before having a son, Geraldine enjoyed windsurfing, yoga, rollerblading, cycling and snowboarding. She would also enjoy going to the cinema and reading. These days, baby talks and taking toddlers to the football are her two main activities and now falls asleep on any books she starts to read.
Jhanine Roberts joined the TT Club London office in November 2009 as the InformationManagement Team assistant. Prior to this, Jhanine worked for Citco Financial Services as a Legal Administrator and has completed a degree in Business Law & Business from the LondonMetropolitan University.
In her spare time, Jhanine enjoys going to the cinema, eating out, socialising with friends and travelling to new places.
A.M. Best expected TTClub to, “Maintain strong consolidated risk-adjusted capitalisation in 2010 despite a small decrease in retained earnings”. The agency commented positively that TT Club, “Employs a prudent approach to setting reserves with a significantmargin established above inter- nal actuary’s best estimate.”
Charles Fenton,CEOof TTClub, expressed sat- isfactionwith the confirmation of anA- rating. “Al- though 2010 represents another challenging year as the global economy recovers, theClub’s strong balance sheet and high level of solvency positions it well for the economic up-turn.“
TTClub’s business strategy includes; further de- velopment of the high service standards offered to the Club’s traditional core market sectors, in- cluding port operators, cargo handling facilities, and container owners and lessors; a focus on the transport and logistics sector in order to growthe business; and strong cost control.
In the agency’s opinion, TTClub has a good spe- cialist business profile in the international marine transport and logistics insurancemarket.Asupe- rior service provision and strong industry involve- ment support the Club’s business profile and contribute to a high policyholder retention (greater than 90%).
Eduardo Garcia-Valdecasas joined the TT Club network partner office in Barcelona in April 2010 as a Claims Executive. He studied Law at the University Complutense ofMadrid and successfully completed an LL.M. in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton last year. Additionally, he gained experience as a professional lawyer working for over two years at theGarcía-Valdecasas-Tobar law firm.
In addition to his law degree, Eduardo studied music at the Royal Superior School ofMusic inMadrid and is a qualified classical guitar teacher. His interests are sports, cinema and is a keen supporter of Real Madrid F.C. despite now living in Barcelona.
