This magazine is a document of our students’ success, a mark of their maturity as artists and designers, an impression of their diversity, a representation of their growth and a projection of their potential as they enter the professional world.


The Middlesex University Art and Design Degree Show is a collective showcase of talent and hard work, of learning and exploration, of experimentation and achievement. The degree show is not an end, it is a beginning. The art and design degree show takes us from the cutting edge of fashion, jewellery and textiles to the rebirth of painting in fine art. It reflects a decisive moment in the development of photographers, an exploration of space for interior architects, designers and applied artists, the emerging identities of the graphic designers, illustrators in perspective and the sonic artists finding their voice.


This magazine has been created by students, designed by students and edited by students. The selection of work represents the piecing together of juxtaposed elements into a composite whole. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The collection is a stunning collage, a kaleidoscope of colour, a symphony of styles, a thrilling composition in a harmonious arrangement that displays the full spectrum of our students’ passion and vivacity.


Montage is a glittering mosaic, a pause for thought and a declaration of intent and unstoppable momentum.
