A friend of Kapelos once told him, “I may not be the most talented person in the world, I might not be the best looking, I might not even be the most interesting, but I’m the hardest working.” Kapelos believes that there is a lot of positive things to be said about a person who is working hard,


learning, and constantly getting better.


So when


auditions come and you’re putting yourself out there to be judged, you better know who you are and what you’re capable of. If things don’t go your way, it’s important to “that you don’t allow other people to define who you are as much as you try to keep the


definition to yourself,” Kapelos continues, “Try not to have other people validate you…you [only] get validated when you get parts.” Kapelos recommends that “to be honest with yourself and to be true to who you are, I think, is the greatest gift an actor can give themselves.”
