Cup Tasters Champion; Haruna Mutayama (Japan) - World Latte Art Champion; Aysin Aydogdu (UK) - World Cezve/Ibrik Champion. The influx of overseas visitors to the show this year attracted by these world coffee finals helped create more of a buzz.

As well as a great opportunity to network and talk to both existing and potential customers, suppliers found the show a good business platform. "From a business perspective this year's exhibition was a

great success for Café Bar. We found that the quality of the visitors was excellent, with many having substantial budgets - which has to be a good indication that people are optimistic for the future," said Marie Caulfield, marketing manager, Autobar UK. Rebecca Turner, marketing manager for Solo Cup Europe

reported an impressive turnout at Caffè Culture this year. She said: "We were impressed by the number of international customers at the event who came to visit us thanks to the World Barista Championships. We had a great show and are looking forward to following up the leads we gained. We're already booked in for next year!" And Andrew Tucker, managing director of SanRemo said: "The atmosphere and buzz created by the World Barista Championships was fantastic and lifted everyone's mood. It was great to have all those amazing competitors around. We had a thoroughly enjoyable show and look set to generate some good business from it."

NEW PRODUCTS

Many exhibitors took the opportunity to launch new products or services and those with something new to unveil, or a little bit out of the ordinary, were particularly in demand with visitors. Florian Lehmann, managing director, WMF UK said: "Caffè Culture is the most important coffee equipment show in the UK.
