World Cup Shock Horror

Beam me up, Scotty

Protection provider Bright Grey invited Mortgage Introducer deputy editor Sarah Davidson all the way to sunny (yes, sunny) Edinburgh for the in- ternational film festival screening of “Lucky” last month. The documentary followed families in America

after winning the Lotto and the most memora- ble moment was Buddy from Pennsylvania, who spent every penny of the $16 million he won on a bizarre collection of things including 500 identi- cal pairs of trousers. Yup. Not what we’d spend the money on. But then again, you don’t have to be a millionaire to rub shoulders with the stars. After the film finished Bright Grey took the

party to a fully blown Scottish Ceilidh (that’s a knees-up to you and I) where none other than Jean Luc Picard himself and star of X-Men movie fame Patrick Stewart was spotted spinning across the dance floor. Alas, it was all too much for Davo. Rather than

risk get swooning over Stewart she left at the rather modest time of 1:30 putting some seasoned hacks to shame.

She’s not going home

Introducer’s Davo had her footie cherry popped by Countrywide as they hosted 150 of the mortgage industry’s great and good at BAFTA in London for the England v Slovenia match. For a girl who’s never seen a whole football game, the scene was impressive with the room decked out in red and white. Meanwhile fellow guest and Capital Home Loans’ MD Bob Young provided some amusing reasons why England would win (they’d until then never lost in red) while ex-England player Rob Lee was interviewed by TV star Ralph Little.

If only it had lasted. Sadly, the post party performance came to an abrupt end as the room had cleared by half six. And with no prospect of further action, Davo was

forced to call in reinforcements and ended the night partying with industry die-hards Pete Gwilliam, Alan Cleary, Jon Wiggins and Paul Wareham.

Congratulations to last month’s winner, who will shortly receive £30 of Wine vouchers

A mortgage broker was found dead wearing an England shirt last month. The unnamed man, thought to be from London, was also found wearing an array of womens’ underwear including fishnet stockings, suspenders and in possession of a blow up doll attached to a, well, rather obvious place. A gimp mask, handcuffs and several sex aids were also found on the scene. Police removed the shirt straight away to save the family any embarrassment. Meanwhile, investigators are still probing why the chicken didn’t cross the line. FIFA insist it’s because they said so.

Pavlos “I’m looking for the toilet” Joseph crashes into

the Hall of Fame this month A legend in the eyes of disgruntled England fans, the London-based mortgage broker will go down in history for dressing-down the dismal performance of our World Cup team in England v Algeria. With the FSA approved person’s register demanding full disclosure of criminal past big questions will remain over whether Pavlos can make the cut when his time somes.

Alas, if a question of doubt should be thrown over

anyone’s future it should be for the 2010 England World Cup Squad. Truly criminal. Pavlos – the HoF salutes you. We’re with you all the way. Well done!

Try spotting this then The HoF proudly presents a new take on our infamous Spot the Ball competition this week. Spot the England team. The StB photos (below) have all been of the England squad in training – caught on camera by editor Nia Williams late last year.

Despite a woeful performance in the World Cup if you can name the players in this months’ shot – we couldn’t - we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to get their hands on 2014 World Cup car kit. Answers on a postcard.
