owling’s Team USA includes the some of the best bowlers in the world. That’s not news. When you can cherry pick

from the likes of Walter Ray Williams, Wes Malott and Rhino Page on the men’s side, or from Kelly Kulick, Liz Johnson or Shannon Pluhowsky on the women’s side, you can feel confident going into any international competition. What you might not know, though,

is that members of Team USA train to be where they are. They train daily and weekly, and they train hard. They’re always on the lanes looking to perfect their skills so they can compete for the U.S. with their “A” game anytime they are called upon to do so. A big part of that training comes from

their time at the International Training and Research Center (ITRC) at the Inter- national Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas. Team USA Head Coach Rod Ross and his staff spend countless hours preparing

to take the Team USA athletes through their annual training camps, focusing on such skill areas as lane reading, spare shooting, consistency and physical preparation. To accomplish all that, Ross has an
