Men’s Lacrosse

Record: 11-4 (1-2 ACC)

l The fourth-ranked Blue Devils faced Virginia for the second time in six days on Friday, with the Cavaliers collecting a 16-12 victory in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament in College Park, Md. l Junior Zach Howell led Duke’s attack with three goals and one assist, while senior Ned Crotty dished out four assists. Senior Max Quinzani recorded two goals and one assist in the ACC semifinal game, and was named to the All-Tournament Team. l On defense, senior Parker McKee tallied a game-high 10 ground balls. l Prior to Friday’s loss, Duke had won the previous eight matchups with Virginia. The Blue Devils had also claimed each of the previous three ACC Tournament titles.

l The fourth-seeded Blue Devils suffered a 4-2 loss to Florida State on Friday in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. l Duke took an early 1-0 advantage after claiming two victories in doubles play. Senior

Elizabeth Plotkin and junior Reka Zsilinszka

posted an 8-3 win at the No. 3 spot, and the duo of sophomore Monica Gorny and freshman Mary Clayton battled to an 8-4 victory on court two to clinch the point for Duke. l Clayton led Duke off the courts in singles play, rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 position. She now owns a mark of 19-6 this season. l After Clayton’s victory, Florida State took four straight singles matches to claim the 4-2 win.
