every opportunity. I used to scour the internet and papers all the time. You have to write your own music, set up aMySpace, and get your stuff heard. Just keep going and going and I think eventually – if you have the right dedication and persistence – you will get there. You’ve got to be an opportunist in this game.

So if you weren’t a famous singer, what would you choose as your alternative career?

Well, I’d still be at college right now. If I wasn’t singing I’d be doing dancing or acting or anything entertainment-focused.

Can you tell us who your celeb crush is, Pixie?

No one out of the ordinary really. I always say the usual ones, such as Robert Pattinson and Ashton Kutcher – I bet everyone says that! I’ve never met them and I don’t know what I’d say to them if I did – probably just ‘hi’!

And finally, can you give us your fashion tip for spring/summer?

Wear the Lipsy Pixie Collection! And personally, I love little white dresses and backless dresses. I wear a lot of dark colours but in the summer it’s nice to be summery. Team everything with bags of accessories and jewellery and you’re good to go!
