We wish to appoint an experienced and dedicated member of staff to the new permanent position of Inclusion Manager as part of the Beehive, Learning Support staff structure. You will be the key administrative, well-fare and progress development support for students with Social Emotional and Behavioural Diffi culties (SEBD), line managing a SEBD LSA and be directly line managed by our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion. The successful applicant must: • Have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence to communicate effectively in sometimes challenging situations;
• be able to liaise and communicate confi dently with outside agencies, parents, staff and students; • be confi dent to work independently and multi-task; • have a cheerful disposition, positive outlook, show confi dence and contribute ideas to work within a team • Be a creative worker to proactively develop strategies to support SEBD students; • lead and manage all aspects of monitoring progress using data effectively and implement strategies to ensure achievement of identifi ed SEBD students;
• be a positive role model supporting students with SEBD issues; • be highly organised and able to manage your time well, when juggling a range of tasks. After 4 years of innovative improvement, Thamesview has now been awarded ‘Good’ (2) by Ofsted (in February 2009) for our ‘Overall Effectiveness’. All staff will be given a laptop in the new school, and we have a generous CPD commitment to support staff improving their skills across a range of aspects. We are in the current wave of Building Schools for the Future (BSF), so have a brand new school due to open in July 2010 with incredible facilities for indoor and outdoor learning. A purpose built inclusion area is currently being designed to replace our existing Beehive Unit. CV’s without an application form will not be accepted.
