A PEEK At GLIMPsE

GLIMPSE, AKA, Christopher Spero has been growing ever larger on the DJmag radar for some time now. Nominated for the best producer at last year’s Best of British awards, his sublime soaring collaboration with J Shepheard, ‘Colours’, made it on our Best of British CD while last week heard him rocking our WMC Pool Party at the Shelborne with a set showcasing tracks off his forthcoming album.

Released on Crosstown Records, ‘Runner’ drops on 24th May and is a collection of new tracks. Recorded mostly on analogue equipment for a classic sound, it journeys from lush deepness to more tripped-out late night moods, but it’s the smokey late night soul of new single ‘If I was Your Girl’ that most taps into the prevailing mood of returning some humanity to house in the post-minimal world and continues his run off form.
