NEXT STEPS
This report confirms the need for further action in relation to the following:
(i) Tackling noncompliance with statutory provisions using agreed issue resolution processes and, as necessary, the compliance provisions as set out in the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009.
(ii) Measures to improve the provision of information and guidance for teachers and headteachers on their statutory contractual rights and entitlements.
(iii) Strategies to ensure effective local and national monitoring of schoolsʼ management of rarely cover and to identify the workforce and educational impact of these.
(iv) Undertaking further investigation into the experiences of supply teachers with particular reference to their deployment, pay and working conditions.
