LiamGleason Assistant Coach Third Season

LiamGleason enters his third season as assistantmen’s lacrosse coach at Siena College.Gleason primarily works with the defense and serves Siena in its day-to-day operations of themen’s lacrosse office.

In 2009, just his second year at Siena, Gleason helped guide the team to its first-ever MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.

Gleason, a former close defenseman and long stick midfielder at UAlbany, helped the Great Danes to the 2007 America East Conference championship posting a program best 15-3 mark. He was a key contributor on this UAlbany team who advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

“We are very excited to have someone of Liam’s character, work ethic, passion and understanding of the game in our program,” said head coach Brian Brecht. “There is no doubt he is a great addition to help further develop our young defensive squad. Liam has excelled at every level at which he has played and we look forward to him helping this program earn another MAAC Championship.”

Gleason’s coaching experience stems from his tenure at the ShorehamWading River Lacrosse Camp where he oversaw camp operations and coached varsity athletes for the past four summers. Additionally, Gleason served as an instructor at theAll-Star Lacrosse Camp in Flagstaff,Ariz. and the SienaAthletics lacrosse camp last summer.

EricWolf Assistant Coach Second Season

EricWolf enters his second season as an assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team. He is responsible for working with the offense and the day-to-day opera- tions of the program.

In his first year in Loudonville, Siena matched a program high with 12 wins and won the MAAC Championship, earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Wolf arrived from UAlbany where he was the men’s lacrosse director of operations in 2008. His administrative duties included breaking down film and practice preparation.

Wolf played four years of varsity lacrosse at UAlbany, appearing in 62 games. During his career, the Great Danes won three America East Championships and earned three NCAA Tourna- ment appearances.

Wolf earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology fromUAlbany in 2007.

Derek Pedrick Assistant Coach First Season

Derek Pedrick enters his first season as assistant men’s lacrosse coach. He will be responsible for coaching the faceoff players, the goalies and the defensive midfielders as well as managing game day substitutions.

“We are very excited to have someone of Derek’s experience join our staff,” Brecht said. “His coaching experience at Trinity

College andWooster College, combined with his playing experi- ence at Springfield College, will be an asset to our program. I truly believe the chemistry with a coaching staff leads to team chemistry. Our program is successful today because of the consistent effort and time our assistants are able to provide our student-athletes.”

Pedrick arrives from The College ofWooster (Ohio) where he served as assistant coach from 2007-09. He was responsible for coaching the offense, man-up, and faceoffs and managed all game-day substitutions. During his time there,Wooster recorded its highest win total (11-3) in school history and its man-up unit ranked 12th in the nation.

Prior toWooster, Pedrick was an assistant coach at Trinity College (Conn.). He coached the offense and faceoffs, assisted in daily planning of practice and handled game-day substitutions. Pedrick helped lead Trinity to a third-place finish in the NESCAC with a 9-6 overall record and coached the fourth ranked faceoff player in Division III.

Pedrick was a four-year letterwinner at Springfield College (2002-05), playing in 67 career games and recording 83 points (72 G, 11 A). He won three league championships (2003-05) and the ECAC Tournament (2002) while playing for the Pride. Pedrick served as student assistant coach for Springfield College in 2005.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Springfield College in 2006.
