REcORdINg mEmORIES Linda Sobolewski’s layout “WEEKEND WITH GRANDMA” (page
36) reminded me of taking time to capture our memories. She showed off a great picture
in a layout that is both trendy and timeless, and she’ll always be glad she wrote down
her feelings about a special day spent with Grandma. I’d like to find even more time to
scrapbook in the coming year. How about you?
FOLLOW ThE LEAd OF chILdREN I’d like to become more child-like in some aspects of my
life – taking more time to play games, read books, and express love. Abbie Torroll’s layout
“I Love You” (page 65) really shows off the innocence and beauty of children, and you’ll
love her bright color scheme and classic design. I see a scrap-lift in my future!
ExpRESS gRATITudE Gratitude is the foundation of a happy life, and I’d like to fill my new
year with more of it. Lisa Dickinson’s “Thank You” on page 84 made me want to send
more simple notes of thanks to all those who touch my life. I’ve “written” a lot of thank
yous in my heart that never made it to paper, and this year is the time to make those
good intentions a reality. You’ll love all the great cards in our Thank You section, starting
on page 80.
I hope that your new year is full of the things that matter most to you – Happy New Year!
