The Young fi rst aider course is a dynamic and exciting way for seven to 16
year-olds to learn a life saving skill. The Young fi rst aider folder pack contains
all the necessary products required to successfully run Young fi rst aider courses.
Young fi rst aider has been developed by the Training and Youth departments
of St John Ambulance and has been designed for use in schools, pupil referral
units, internal and external organisations.
Within the teacher guide, clear links are made to the National Curriculum.
The teacher guide comes complete with guidance on how to use the pack as
well as lesson plans and differentiated worksheets covering 25 topics. Further
guidance on other ways of delivering Young fi rst aider is provided within the
pack; however you may like to create a bespoke course specifi cally for the young
people you are training. Skills test sheets are provided within the pack to assist
