For those readers unfamiliar with the Caribbean let me just explain where
the Dominican Republic is and a little about the island to allow a full
understanding of its potential over the next decade.
With a population of just under 10 million people and a land area considerably larger than Denmark
you can immediately see that this is an island of substantial size and diversity. To the West of the
country it shares a border with Haiti and when you travel to the south west the thriving tourist area
of Punta Cana reaches down towards Puerto Rico.
