The AUTOLOGIC Optical Interface (ALOPS) allows
users of Autologic for BMW to update the software on all
control units of the vehicle no matter which bus system
they are connected to, says the company. Replacing any con-
trol unit on a BMW could require all control units including
the entertainment system to be FLASH programmed. This
is impossible without a MOST bus connection. The Autologic will automatically
program the ECUs on ISO9141, CAN or MOST bus as necessary.

AUTODATA has added another module to CD3 – Air-Con-
ditioning Service Connector locations. This provides clear
and simple illustrations of where to connect pressure gaug-

This new module helps to reduce time spent looking for the
connectors, which are regularly located in obscure places
within the engine bay. Also, not all systems utilise a connector
on each circuit (high and low-pressure). Included within the new module are:
• The number of AC connectors fitted to vehicle clearly identified.
• The location of both low and high pressure connectors clearly identified.
• Additional cautions to ensure equipment is correctly connected. For example,
many popular Renaults have a single high-pressure connector fitted to the
low-pressure circuit.
