CSB names chair and bank managers
Alan McClennen, Jr. has been elected chairman of the board of trustees of the Cambridge Financial Group, the holding company for Cambridge Savings Bank. Mr. McClennen replaces Kevin Fitzgerald, 46-year bank employee who served as chairman of the board from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Fitzgerald is retiring from his role as chairman but will continue to serve as a trustee. In other CSB news, Katherine M. Light has been named assistant vice president, banking center manager for the Porter Square branch. Katherine formerly ran the Burlington branch. Michelle V. Perez, assistant vice president, has moved from the Porter Square branch to the Central Square branch.

Hotel Tria renovations nearly complete
The Best Western Hotel Tria will open 55 new guest rooms in mid June and complete renovations to the public areas just in time for summer. MBC debuts new Telepresence Center
The Massachusetts Biotechnology Council’s new Telepresence Center in Kendall Square is now open for business for companies seeking to save time and money using videoconferences or webcasts. With a 100-person capacity, it recently equipped with state-of-the-art Polycom cameras and microphones to allow companies and organizations to boost productivity and conduct business with global partners—all from the convenience of an office down the street. All MBC videoconferencing services are offered in high definition, with the option of videotaping for future viewing. Member and non-member rates are available. CCRC appoints executive director
Child Care Resource Center has appointed Gloria Franqui as Executive Director. Franqui, who has been serving as Interim Executive Director, brings a wide range of leadership and management skills to the position along with a deep commitment to children and families. Founded in 1971 as the first Child Care Resource and Referral agency in Massachusetts, and one of the first in the country, CCRC was instrumental in developing a statewide network that connects families with quality child care, provides training to the early education and child care professional workforce and administers the state’s child care voucher program.

Kick off summer with music festival
On June 21, the first day of summer, Harvard Square will host the second edition of “Make Music Cambridge,” a free outdoor live-music festival featuring more than 150 local bands in 24 designated street-performance locations. Visit www.makemusiccambridge.com.
