The world has changed - we haven’t!

The Wilson Browne team at the (virtual) Law Society Excellence Awards in October

No big awards ceremony in London, no glitz and glamour – things have changed since March: one thing that hasn’t changed is the strength of the marketing team at Wilson Browne Solicitors. Business Development and Marketing Director Wayne Jenkins explains:

T e fi rm was shortlisted in the annual Law Society Excellence Awards - Marketing & Communications, for the fourth year in a row, and walked away with a second Highly Commended award. Not a bad result for a law fi rm competing against 11,000 registered legal practices in England and Wales. As the fi rm’s Business Development and Marketing Director I am

immensely proud of the Marketing Team and the fi rm’s commitment to marketing – a commitment evidenced by the decision not to take the soft option by cutting marketing activity in this recent period of uncertainty. During lockdown we saw two distinct camps in how businesses

responded. Some pulled up the drawbridge and went quiet: we took the decision to continue to invest in marketing activity and drive the message that we are still here, we’re open, and we can help. The firm was also quick off the mark with a COVID hub on

the website, introduced well before the March lockdown and before anyone else locally. It remains a go-to resource for local businesses and individuals looking for guidance and help. Messages have changed and evolved in recent

months. Some law fi rms are saying they’re back – we never went away. We are friendly, professional and straight to point, showing support and involvement in our communities: the business of law is (believe it or not) about ‘being human’. But, as a client or potential client of the fi rm, why should you care? What does it matter if a marketing team at a law fi rm got an award? After all, they’re not lawyers, so where’s the connection? T e connection is that it’s the same attention to detail, the same expertise, the same high standards, the same drive to deliver the best possible service, that runs through everything we do at the fi rm. Whether you are a business, or seeking advice for yourself on a personal level, you can be assured of high standards – we’re all the help you need. And that is why the Law Society has shortlisted

Wilson Browne Solicitors for its coveted Excellence in Marketing and Communications award, for a fourth time and awarded us the prestigious Highly Commended title twice: and the icing on the cake is Kevin Rogers being a fi nalist (one of eight), from the 200,000 registered legal practitioners in England & Wales.
