Atlas Copco HiLight

Atlas Copco’s HiLight E3+ electric lighting tower has four high-efficiency 160W LED lights to give 3,000m2

of illuminated

coverage. The internal electronics, control panel and connectors are protected from the elements by the company’s HardHat canopy, and a 7m mast is incorporated. Up to 32 of the compact units can be transported on a standard 13m truck, from which they can be offloaded and manoeuvred using their integral forklift pocket, crane lifting eye and/or wheels. The machine operates on single- phase 50/60Hz 230V or 110V power. 60Hz versions are also available, and 10 machines

can be connected to one 230V power source, states the company. 01442 222350

Balloon goes up at Wacker Neuson

Wacker Neuson’s LB110M light balloon has a 110,000-lumen metal halide lamp that is designed to give 360° light coverage without glare. This makes it particularly suitable for road traffic applications. The product operates from a mains supply and its tripod can

extend to a height of 5m. For speed, the balloon only has to be opened like an umbrella, with no inflation required. It is made from glass fibre-reinforced synthetic material and it can be stored inside a van.

In readiness for the new season, MHM Plant has taken delivery of nearly 700 lighting towers from the Italian manufacturer, Trime. The order comprised LED diesel engine-powered X-Eco models, alongside the X-Hybrid Solar and X-Pole Solar sets. A fleet of Baby-Lite (LED-4) rigs completes the line-up. MD Mat Llewellyn, who is pictured (left) with Operations

Director Rob Pullen, told EHN, “Although the X-Eco LED diesel powered unit remains one of our most popular lighting towers, there is a growing trend to seek out more sustainable machines, hence our investment in hybrid solar sets.” The X-Pole Solar is powered exclusively via battery and

solar panels, completely eliminating any carbon output. The Baby-Lite (LED-4) is manufactured exclusively for MHM. It has four 200W LED lamps fitted onto a 360º swivel and tilt lighting head, with a 4m vertical manual mast. The base has been configured to accept most brands of petrol or diesel generators from 2kVA to 6.5kVA.
