Spinlock ƒnd the IRC Rule

Why the UK equipment manufacturer continues to enjoy sponsoring IRC Spinlock have been sponsoring the IRC Rule, and certificates in Great Britain and France, for five years and continue to enjoy our investment in yacht racing. IRC allows yachts of all ages, sizes and levels of performance to race together on a fair basis and provides owners with a simple system for managing not only the rating of their boat, but also their time on the water.

Equally the international use of IRC encourages owners to develop a desire to race fairly in overseas regattas, confident that their team can arrive and rate without prejudice, against local competition. The future of our sport will be determined by many influences, but making racing as easy and fair as possible will encourage new owners to take part and keep existing owners engaged.

At Spinlock we understand the need for developing an owner’s appetite for yacht racing. Racing at all levels helps develop all aspects of the sport and industry, but most importantly gets people out on the water, enjoying themselves and staying connected with our wonderful sport. If IRC can help make racing enjoyable then many of us will stay involved over many years and in many different boat types.

As IRC certificate holders it is up to us all to ensure that great racing is provided to fit in alongside the demands of busy lives, that entries are grown through ensuring it is fun and that taking part is considered challenging and rewarding.

Here at Spinlock we want to do everything we can to help encourage owners to get out and enjoy racing.
