Ffestiniog Travel has launched its 2020 escorted touring collection which features trips to Taiwan and Jordan for the first time as well as an 11-day Kyrgyzstan itinerary, which Ffestiniog says is the most remote destination it has ever

offered. Additions to its Rail Holidays of the

World collection include a

new wine-themed tour of Romania; a cultural exploration of Armenia; and new offerings in Germany, Italy and France.

Citalia has drafted in brand ambassador and celebrity chef Gennaro Contaldo to curate a 25-day Ultimate Italy self-guided tour to mark the operator’s 90th anniversary this year. The trip departs London via the Venice-Simplon-Orient- Express visiting Lake Garda, Verona, Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Sicily, with Contaldo providing insight into

regional cuisine en route. Prices start from £7,877pp and include accommodation, internal rail travel, a domestic flight from Sorrento to Palermo, and a return flight to the UK.


Shearings Holidays has added 20 new tours to its 2020 Europe brochure and introduced more trips themed around cuisine, film and sport. Additions include a new trip

combining the Mediterranean islands of Corsica and Sardinia, as well as an itinerary exploring Croatia and the Balkans, including Shearings’ first visits to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Another newcomer is the Italian

Flavours, Pavarotti & Ferrari tour set in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Shearings is also expanding its “Go by

Air” trips with two new tours, including the Iconic Cities of Spain visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Toledo. Two new one-week “At Leisure by Air” holidays are also being offered in Lake Como and Lake Garda. Other additions for 2020 include a
