Qantas is planning a multimillion-dollar upgrade of its 12 Airbus 380s, as it looks to meet increased demand for premium cabins on flights to the US, Europe and Asia. The carrier will remove 30 economy seats from the upper decks of each aircraft and replace them with six business and 25 premium economy seats. Premium economy seating will be in a 2-3-2 configuration, allowing more room for bigger seats. First-class cabins will also be refurbished with more cushioning and larger, higher-resolution screens. The work will begin in 2019 and all aircraft are due to be

upgraded by the end of 2020. QANTAS.COM
